Great text. I used it as a reference to modify my FMEA training course.

I was looking for a good hobby to get into, and thought to myself, "Hey, you should start learning about FMEA/FMECA! That would be a blast!" So, I did. This came in real handy.

Stamatis has written the most comprehensive reference available on FMEA. However, much of the information in the book is repeated multiple times. The book does not contain much theory on FMEA and does not include the history of FMEA.This book does not serve as a good introduction to FMEA--Stamatis seems to assume that the reader already has a solid understanding of FMEA. If you want a helpful introduction to FMEA, I suggest you buy The Basics of FMEA by McDermott, Mikulak, and Beauregard.The book consists of 13 chapters. The first chapter covers the legal approach to liability. Chapter 2 provides a general overview of FMEA. Chapter 3 is a glossary of terms. Chapter 4 talks about how teams use FMEA. Stamatis asserts that there are four types of FMEA: system, design, process, and service and these types are covered in the next four chapters. Stamatis also includes chapters on the use of FMEA in these industries: electromechanical, computers, semiconductors, and medical devices. The remaining chapter discusses ISO 9000.This book might have been twice as helpful if it had been half as long.

While the material discussed is ok, I found it hard to justify the cost of the book. There seemed to be much redundancy in the book as well. It would have been wonderful if the author had finished what he wanted to say in half as many pages. As a seminar leader, instructor, and practitioner, I find it hard to recommend

There is also a professor on holiday who is seeking the dog as his education focus is on mythical creatures.This is another very fun story from H.Y. Hanna, it is currently the last one in the series and I'm looking forward to the release of the next one. I was already a fan of her Oxford Tea Room mysteries when I came across the first book in the Bewitched by Chocolate series. It is definitely my favorite of the two series that I follow from her.

Caitlyn is invited to Lord Fitzroy's Mansion to dine with her cousin Evie. When they arrive they find an unusual assortment of dinner guests. One guest has a secret and one guest a surprise, and one guest is doomed to die that night.Caitlyn and her other cousin, Pomona decide to solve the murder mystery as village rumors have placed Caitlyn's grandmother as the villain of the crimes! Grandmother is a Witch you see. Her specialty being Chocolate.There is romance in the air also but it is thwarted at every turn and little hope remains. Can a large mythical dog salvage a relationship?You will have to read this book to find out. The book is a great read by itself, but, in my opinion, not reading the entire series is a mistake as the characters and plots develop throughout and Caitlyn grows with each tale into a fine young Lady Witch.

I tried to avoid the pun but this really is a sweet little series and book #5 an enjoyable read. I think it had a bit more humor than usual with some funny scenes courtesy of Uncle Viktor. Professor Thrope is a character I hope we see more of and Caitlyn, who is a strong, though normally more reserved character, was a bit feisty in this one and showed her spunky side - yea! One thing I appreciate is the author's ability to bring each specific mystery to a satisfying conclusion while incorporating larger story arcs book to book, adding another layer to the books without overwhelming the current tale. Arcs such as delving further into Caitlyn's background and family plus the question of just exactly what Thane Blackmort is up to. Looking forward to finding out!

I enjoyed the whole series and am waiting for the next book. The only thing I didn't like was that the story was put in 5 books -- come one -- could have been combined in two books or even one. All the many books is doing is trying to make more money. I have a tendency to start a series like this and then not finish it because I am tired of buying the books to read. I also don't use kindle-unlimited because I don't read enough books per month.however, as concerns the books - good story and good characters. Just entertaining fun and not serious at all.

Love this series. The interaction between James and Caitlyn is very interesting. What with mystery, murder, and a touch of romance, this is a very entertaining read. Throw in witches, chocolate, rumor mongering busy bodied, a large dash of humor, and top it off with a mischievous, little ball of block of black for and what more could you want? Nibs, the kitten continues to steal the shoe! Elaine

This fifth installment in the Bewitched by chocolate Mysteries, has got to be my favorite so far! I love all the books so much, but for some reason this one pulled me in to the storyline a bit deeper than the other ones. I adore this author so much! A superb author and story teller, she will have you hooked on her books in no time:-)Without giving away any spoilers, I will warn you, and say that you will want to have some delicious chocolates with you while you're reading this book, or any of the other books in the series!

Another great read in the series Bewitched By Chocolate. This book did not disappoint in anyway. I always look forward to the next book this author writes. Funny, interesting characters, a great mystery in every book.

I very much enjoy these books. I have read all 5 of them and will read again. They are cozy murder mysteries, a fun read as they keep your attention and takes me 3 to 4 days to read. I'm hoping she will write book #6 and more!

Great for teaching young children our history. I loved the pictures. This is maybe for a child maybe about 4 and older. I just wanted to surround my 2 year old with the info even if he didn't get it yet. We have to teach our children our history because they won't learn it from anywhere else.

This is a great book about George Washington Carver but I would recommend this book for kids from 3rd-5th grade. I purchased this book for 1st graders and once I was able to look inside and read it,I saw that it was just too advanced for them. The font is small and there are long paragraphs. Also, there is fairly high vocabulary. It's a great book with good info and illustrations but I would not recommend this for younger kids.

My 6 year old had to do a report on GWC. He thoroughly enjoyed learning about this scientific pioneer. He was especially impressed with the story of his childhood. The book is written on a level he could easily understand but still challenged him to employ all his reading skills. The illustrations were quite good and helped him visualize the details brought out in the story.

I bought this book for my 7 year old. She picked him for her class project and she needed to read his biography from a book, not from the internet. George Washington Carver was definitely an inspiration to his peers as well as all generations that came after him. My daughter really got into this book! She was fascinated by Mr. Carver because he invented peanut butter. I would recommend all school-age kids to read about Mr. Carver, he is truly a woven part of American history.

I knew that it was used, but It was "very used"; my granddaughter, for whom it was purchased even commented on the condition of the book. It would have been helpful if their was an explanation of what the terms meant: that is to say excellent means, good means; fair means.

This is an excellent book- There are several attributes that make this book ideal for the EM physician who is learning EKG's:1.) Cases are quick and short, so if you only have 10-15 min you can get valuable info during that time.2.) It starts easy and gets harder which is ideal.3.) You see multiple variations of the same thing with thorough explanations each time.I went through the 1st section with about 30 min 3x a week in one month and felt more comfortable reading EKG's than some of my senior colleagues.

This is a great book with very illustrative case examples that help hone keg skills. Sadly the format is a pain. The book itself is a pain with the answers in a different section from the ecgs. This makes it difficult to look at the discussion from one without accidentally seeing the diagnosis for the next. What is a difficult format in print is made worse on the kindle with its cumbersome navigating.

This book is excellent to have while doing your residency and will come in handy for the board preparation as well.

Rupert mouse has the brilliant idea of creating a wordless picture book which is ruined page after page by his fellow mice, Thistle and Nibbs. This is the hilarious account of how when you have friends who love to talk, there is no way silence will happen, ever! The conversations between the three mice, and their creative, and sometimes ridiculous ideas, will delight readers while they will probably empathize with Rupert, trying so hard to create his wordless book, trying so hard to control the frustration Thistle and Nibbs are creating, until... you'll have to read it to find out! Great conversations to be had about personal and creative space. The illustrations are beautiful and give the illusion of texture.

I just discovered that this book is a part of the Mother Bruce Series. What delightful stories. I've purchased them all and look forward to the next book in the saga of Mother Bruce ( a bear who is a reluctant, yet loving, mother to his little goslings - and, evidently, several mice who invited themselves into the family). So cleaver and creative. The illustrations alone tell the story, but the words speak for themselves.This is a stand-alone book, totally awesome in itself; but, read the entire series - your sides will ache and your heart will go pitter pat.....

All of the "Bruce" books are excellent, this one is a bit different, less of a story, more of a comedic meta-story. It's all about the mice from the second book, and their desire to make their own book, and how two of them mess it up. The only book my kid laughed at more was "The Book with No Pictures". The humor is a little "older" though. For example, at almost exactly 4yro, my child thought it was funny. At 4 1/2, it was hysterical. Lovely pictures, interesting "plot", and all around enjoyable and laughing read. One I avoid at bedtime, don't need to get them that worked up with laughing.

This book is so funny! My six-year-old laughs at it and wants to hear it over and over. The author uses humor to teach about elements of literature- illustration, onomatopoeia, and likable characters. It also presents the idea of three friends collaborating (or not) on writing a book together as a fun activity.

Hilarious! My 2nd graders loved it and read it over and over!

loved this book! Friends started reading this book at karate, a dance, it became a favorite everywhere we went. children so excited to read and to hear other children reading!

We chose this book based on reviews to read and donate to my daughter’s 1st grade class, and we weren’t disappointed. It was fun to read and the kids all laughed out loud throughout. 26 firsties can’t be wrong. A+ book!

A typical double-page spread presents a single plant and its seeds or several plants whose seeds are similar. A few sentences in large type comment on the specific topic, and color photos, often close-ups of plants or seeds, are silhouetted against white pages. The artwork is striking and effective, but the organization and content of the text are weaker. For example, the sentence "From the seeds that farmers sow, in the spring and summer come wonderful fruits--delicious, sweet plums and cherries, peaches, apricots, and many others" needs some interpretation from an adult. Fruit trees, even seeds from the fruits named, are usually said to be planted rather than sown, and a hopeful child who plants a peach pit will wait many summers for the fruit. this book has beautiful and detailed pictures that children can discuss. It is a bit lengthy, so wouldn't recommend for under 4 years.

A gorgeous picture book that provides some very basic info about plants and seeds. Written in a conversational manner. For example, "When you eat a sandwich, consider this: The bread is not much more than the seeds of a grass called wheat, ground up into flour and mixed with some water and a little bit of yeast." The book layout and design are varied and photographs are bright and clear. This is an interest building book that may lead to more in depth study.
