I started reading the first book in this series, Vengeance be Mine, as part of the Name Your Demon book set, and was interested enough to purchase the second book in the series. Unfortunately I was disappointed to find out that this is actually a Novella, although the cover lists it as "Book 2". I believe I read this in a record 30 minutes, and was left wondering if there would be a series after all. These books are set in a new unique world built by Louisa Lo full of all manner of supernaturals and filled to the brim with humor. Regrettably I think that the overload of supernaturals and humor to convey the "trickster" nature of the main and many supporting characters can take away from the plot. If you're looking for a funny, quick, silly read in the teen/young adult section, you'll love it. I however did like the mystery and plot line from the original series and wish this book would continue along that piece, but this feels more like a spinoff side story. I wish I could say that I enjoyed it, but after reading this story, I don't think I'll follow up with the rest of these books (if there are any).
A quick foray into the life of Megan and her vengeance demon/trickster family. A family vacation taken during important holidays for both sides of the family, happening on the same day! I loved this quick little adventure into Megan's world! Excellent writing from a noteworthy author!
Like trickster demons, this novelette was a whole lot of fun! This is a quick and easy glimpse into the fantasy world that Lo has created. Take a few minutes and read about the trick seen around the world!
This is a fun little story with a bit of a twist. When you need a break from looming apocalypses, this is a wonderful alternative!

I try not to provide spoilers, so I do not provide a detailed synopsis of the books since I feel that is the author’s job. “Vengeance Unclaimed,†Book Two of the “Vengeance Demons†series is a novelette that continues the trials and tribulations of the only Trickster – Vengeance Demon Hybrid in all the dimensions. “Vengeance Unclaimed†is a fantasy novelette, you don’t have to suspend disbelief to enjoy Louisa Lo’s writing style. will pull you into the story so deeply that you almost forget it is pure fantasy. The book is one you will not want to put down once you start. It was a true page-turner and more importantly, it was fun to read. Even though most of the primary characters are from the demon dimension, when it all comes down to it, they have the same foibles and flaws that humans possess. The dialogue is realistic, while the story is fast-paced and never predictable. The fantasy dimensions Louisa has created are remarkably fresh and bring a cohesiveness to the story that is often lacking.In both the “Vengeance Demon†series and her new “A Royal Apocalypse†series, Louisa Lo has shown she is a dedicated author. With a truly magical writing style, with strongly developed characters, superbly developed dialogue, and stories that resonate on multiple levels. Her books are well-written, skillfully edited, and capably proofed; something few writers in today’s independent author, self-published novel, marketplace bother doing. Too many authors think running their book through MS Word’s Spelling and Grammar Checker is all that is required to edit a manuscript. Louisa Lo is not one of them.“Vengeance Unclaimed†is an example of a well-presented novella, that can be read as a stand-alone book, as well as part of the series; which is another thing few authors do well. Ms. Lo joins Dean Koontz and AJ Scudiere as one of the few authors able to pull it off. Even the underlying premise of Vengeance Demons is a fresh take on an epic storyline. Vengeance Unclaimed #3 - A funny, well written short story that holds the reader's attention. While there's no action, the story is fast paced suspense and humor as Megan and her family take a sudden vacation between a rock and a hard place.Vengeance Be Mine #1 - Funny. A well written, intriguing introduction to a cast of likable, and not, characters with a funny, fast paced and exciting-in-places plot. I love the author's idea of AA, and the fact there's no vulgar language and sex, just plain entertainment.Before Vengeance #2 - The author states this is a prequel to Vengeance Be Mine. I read it after VBM and I found it doesn't matter about the order. This is a well written, rather serious introduction to Serafina and her secretly being swapped with another child, and her childhood best friend and love. and his changelings world.A Good Vengeance #4 - Intense! This book makes the previous three look like sleeping pills and they are not! The twisting plot was like riding hurricane Harvey, which I did some in my yard; every which way but loose, this book just grabs you and along you go for a fun, scary, intriguing, suspense filled ride. The characters are getting better with age and experience in this well written story. If you love Butcher and Harris, this humorous book, and the previous three, will keep you entertained.Vengeance Demons Boxed Set - Quick, funny stories. Great sense of humor. There's a blurb before each book to inform the reader about the book's contents; very helpful. This is a set of well written, intriguing, humorous books with a variety of characters and plots that twist and turn keeping the reader immersed in the fast pace action, until the end. The stories move quickly and the author's sense of humor and vengeance ideas are great.
