The illustrations and images in this book are very poor and are very dated. This manual is basically for beginners that have never worked on a air conditioning system before.There are a few illustrations of gauge readings, diagnosing a system, but they are so poor that you can't read them.
This manual is an excellent learning tool for automotive heating and air conditioning taking the student back to the origins of air pollution, the ozone layer depletion, the beginnings of state and federal laws for clean air, the basics of heating and air conditioning theory,etc. It is well written in easy to follow and understand language and well illustrated with color photos, drawings, graphs, depictions, etc. I recommend this manual for anyone working on automotive heating and air condtioning systems whether they are seasoned pros or just beginners in the field.
Provides excellent blends of theory and practical applications, fundamentals and advanced procedures, text and up-to-date graphics, and covers a good cross-section of older and currently manufactured devices and systems.
