This book, to me, is worth far more than the price I paid for it. Whether it's help for myself directly, or using the learning to adapt to an angry coworker, etc. the lessons therein are extremely helpful. Would that I could give this book to everyone I know and they actually use it - the world would start to be a better place!

I don't usually write reviews, but this book is especially bad-- pop psychology at its worst. It consists of page after page of pithy one liners and eye-catching marketing-style charts highlighting the obvious and trite. Anyone self-aware enough to spend money on a book that supposedly helps one manage stress better will learn nothing from this book full of shallow, greeting card-style dismissals. It doesn't delve deeply enough to actually help anyone or make the reader think. The authors seem to think that they can give a reader two pager after two pager and actually fool him into believing that he has learned something that will improve his ability to face his daily tasks. Don't waste your money on this glossy brochure masquerading as an actual resource.

I love this DK series. It's great for people with ADHD or anyone short on time. Super easy to read and absorb. I use it for homeschooling. We also have the Adolescence(preview before using in class), Study Skills, Success and Love editions as well.

My mother in law has already suffered from a heart attacking. She’s stressed from having such a busy job this book helped her distress and focus on the priorities in her life

I never thought a book about stress would be so fun or easy to read, but this one makes a great coffee table book. The book is divided into logical sections (how stress affects you, types of stress, managing stress, changing your relationship with stress, and resources) and the infographic-style presentation makes for a quick and easy read. Nearly every section has an opportunity for reader engagement in forms such as breathing exercises, tips for families turning off technology or a steps to help create a "creative spiral". Even those familiar with stress management techniques and practices (yoga, therapy, etc.) could benefit from the compilatory nature of the book.

Excellent reference book on stress.
