About the Author
John P. McTernan is a lifetime student of American history and has studied biblical prophecy since becoming a Christian in the early 1970s. He wrote As America Has Done to Israel and coauthored Israel: The Blessing or the Curse. Through television appearances, radio interviews, and seminars, McTernan regularly defends Israel in light of biblical prophecy. In 1974, McTernan became involved with the pro-life movement and is a pro-life leader in central Pennsylvania. He cofounded International Cops for Christ, where he serves as an ordained chaplain, and he served as a U.S. Treasury agent for twenty-six years before retiring in 1998. In August 2009, McTernan received an honorary doctorate in biblical studies from Calvary Christian College in South Bend, Indiana. He also holds a B.S. from Virginia Commonwealth University. McTernan is married and has four children.

This book is not what I was expecting. It was much, much better than I expected. I suppose I was expecting some sort of Biblical analysis of certain verses, but especially Genesis 12:3. While there is Biblical analysis, the also book examines a series of events that have occurred (mostly over the last 27 years) that point to God's judgment on the United States. The author builds a very strong case to show that it is not coincidence, but God's judgment that occurs via hurricanes, earthquakes, market crashes, tornadoes, etc... when the U.S. turns it's back on Israel or negotiates with Israel's enemies (i.e. Yassar Arafat and like-minded folk). McTernan also demonstrates that some of our earlier presidents (Washington, Lincoln, etc...) were very, very pro-Israel, because they understood their Bibles better than our leaders do today. The last part of the book is also very good. It digs into the latter days, the wars, and what is going to happen in the future. He explains why the U.S. is likely not mentioned in the Bible as a participant in the last days events. This section, by itself, is worth the price of the book. I highly recommend this book to all true Christians.
Wow! Wish our political leaders would read this book! I know that Israel is the 'apple of God's eye' from Scripture, but had never drawn the correlation between our country's treatment of Israel and the consequences (even though I often thought, at the time, that George W.'s tenure seemed plagued with all kinds of disasters.) The ending chapters were also very challenging (in a good way) about these last days we are living in.
Fantastic Book concerning The U.S. being Blessed when it supported Israel and cursed when they pushed Israel to give up Land for Peace. If he has any more books reflecting the curses we are presently experiencing I would like to read them. I have witnessed some of these curses based on being on hand for Katrina and Rita and other disasters. My job was Disaster Assistance

This book will challenge your worldview.
An amazing correlation between the timing of natural disasters and the United States' political actions against Israel. Those familiar with Genesis 12:3 (I will bless those who bless you and curse those who curse you...) will understand what happened. Scoffers will say "What amazing coincidences!"
As America Has Done To Israel is a great book! There's obvious connections between our-America's- interactions with Israel. Once you begin to see that there are major weather issues we've dealt with at a time when we don't stand with our allies, Israel, you won't view the weather phenomenon issues we have today the same!!!
This is the type of book you don't want to read, but once I got started, it was so informative and well written on the subject ofAmerica's relationship with Israel, I just couldn't stop reading. The parts that are based on the history of things that have happened to our country everytime we refuse or stop helping Israel was really an eye opener. Keeping up with the world news really supports McTernan's views.
Our pastor recommended this to us. I have yet to read it but I bought several copies for others in the congregation. As I flipped through the book, several pages caught my eye and it looks very interesting.
